Students who took the Maryland Comprehensive Assessment Program (MCAP) assessments in spring 2026 will receive their individual score reports the week of September 28, 2026. Each student’s school will send home hard copies of the reports. The reports summarize student performance overall and by subject area. For information on how to interpret the results, click here. Families with questions about their student’s scores should contact their school directly.

Pets on Wheels permission slips will be coming home this week!
We are excited to welcome our furry friends back to HWES this school year. 🐶❤️ This year, our therapy dogs will be:
🐾 Greeting students as they arrive at school
📚 Listening to students read as a special cafeteria reward
Please read the permission slip carefully, complete it, and return it to school as soon as possible.
We are looking forward to another wonderful year with our four-legged friends! 🐕🐾❤️
